Colindale is a suburban area of Brent, with plenty of green spaces, places to eat and convenient amenities nearby. Anyone fascinated by the military should make the short walk to the Royal Air Force Museum, where you can explore the first 100 years of the RAF as well as its future through three galleries, and view examples of aircraft. The expansive open spaces of Fryent Country Park and Brent Reservoir are both within a ten-minute drive of our apartments. At Fryent Country Park, explore over 100 hectares of traditional Middlesex countryside; or discover the Site of Special Scientific Interest that is Brent Reservoir, where you can encounter wetland birds and sailing dinghies! And with our apartments just opposite Colindale tube station you have great connectivity to Central London via the Northern line, as well as the vibrant neighbourhoods of Shoreditch, Angel, Chalk Farm and Camden Town in easy reach.
Brent Cross Shopping Centre can be reached in less than 20 minutes by the Northern line; here you will find 120+ shops spanning fashion, technology, jewellery, books and homeware, from high street heroes to curated smaller labels. Anthropologie houses boho-chic womenswear and home décor; Space NK collates niche and under-the-radar beauty brands; Kiehl’s offers luxury skincare as well as treatments; and Russell & Bromley sells upscale footwear. For designer brands and large flagship stores, head to London’s most popular shopping destination, Oxford Street, which is just 30 minutes away by tube.
Nearby Edgware Road is clustered with a variety of food and drink options. Frankie’s Café and Café Anglais are both popular spots for hearty portions of breakfast, brunch or lunch. Bang Bang Oriental Foodhall is a large food court housing a range of Asian restaurants – you’ll find everything from dim sum and sushi to Korean street food and boba tea. On the ground floor, stylish Golden Dragon serves traditional, authentic Chinese dishes to make your mouth water. The rustic interiors of cosy Spaccanapoli reflect the relaxed, homestyle menu of Napoli pizza and Italian comfort food. Family-run Jakarta has been serving Indonesian, Thai and Malaysian cuisine for 30 years, housed in an elaborately decorated restaurant just off Edgeware Road.
You may like to pop down the road and visit the Chandos Arms: a fantastic local pub that has great food and drink in a warm and welcoming environment. This venue also provides weekly events, such as pub quizzes, open mic nights, and live comedy and music. The Beaufort Pub is another stylish venue with a lovely terrace to enjoy on summer evenings. Indulge in a cocktail or a cask ale and enjoy the convivial atmosphere. Or take a 20-minute trip on the Northern line to Camden Town and head to one of the myriad live music venues, bars and pubs in the area: catch a gig at the Roundhouse, head to KOKO’s for performances on a stage once graced by Prince and The Clash, or sip a pint at The World’s End pub before you descend to iconic alternative music venue The Underworld for a night of live rock music.
