The central location provides excellent transport links. Harrow-on-the-Hill underground station is a four-minute walk away, with a direct train to Baker Street in 17 minutes and a direct train to King’s Cross in 20 minutes. The numerous shops, restaurants and bars of vibrant Wembley Park are a six-minute train away. There are also a number of bus routes into the surrounding areas available nearby.
Two large shopping centres, St Ann’s and St George’s, are a short walk away, where you can explore a variety of big-brand and independent stores, stop in at one of the many great restaurants or visit the cinema. There are also an abundance of green spaces to explore in the surrounding area.
Location: Junction Road
Harrow-on-the-Hill is a sought-after part of the wider Harrow borough, with a bustling town centre offering two shopping centres, plenty of amenities, and excellent transport links a few minutes’ walk from our serviced apartments. Up the hill towards historic Harrow School, the area has an old-world charm, with a high street peppered with local shops and green spaces to enjoy. If you’re feeling adventurous, you could try some indoor climbing at HarroWall Climbing Centre, London’s largest bouldering facility. Or head to Playgolf London where all the family can take part in mini-golf and more experienced players can try the 9-hole course. A more sedate (but just as enjoyable!) day out can be found at Headstone Manor and Museum, less than ten minutes’ drive from our apartments, where you can learn local history and explore the Grade I listed building. And on sunny days, there’s nothing like a pleasant amble up the hill to Peachy Stone scenic point, where you’ll be rewarded with a lovely view, or a short drive to nearby Fryent Country Park to explore over 100 hectares of traditional Middlesex countryside.
The large and impressive St Ann’s and St George’s shopping centres are a very short walk from our apartments, where you can browse a range of department stores and high street brands, smaller boutiques, multiple restaurants and a large cinema in St George’s showing the latest blockbusters. Make sure to stop by Heriot’s Patisserie for gorgeous hand-crafted cakes and macarons, and family-run Stag London for unique menswear, including colourful shirts, cool casualwear and luxury tailoring.
The shopping centre food courts have a host of restaurants and eateries where you can fuel up while browsing the stores. On nearby St Ann Street, Ancona Italian Coffee House is a great pit-stop if you’re craving authentic Italian coffee, cannoli and sandwiches. Up on the High Street, The Doll’s House on the Hill is a charming vintage café with chintzy decor and a great assortment of cakes - it also offers a full afternoon tea (although pre-booking is needed). For dinner, Indian Gastro Kitchen at the Kingsfield Arms is a popular spot for Indian dishes freshly prepared with locally-sourced ingredients, served alongside wine, beer and cocktails in a warm and cosy atmosphere. The Junction is a large red-brick neighbourhood pub where you can enjoy burgers and stone baked pizza in the huge heated beer garden.
Perched at the top of Harrow-on-the-Hill, the aptly-named Coffee2Cocktails is a bar in which you can enjoy a morning coffee and then nip back for evening drinks and food. There’s an extensive cocktail menu with all your favourites (and some intriguing takes on classics), but the mocktails are just as lovingly-crafted and delicious! Not far away, 86 Restaurant & Bar is another lovely spot for cocktails and champagne, and you can also order Mediterranean tapas to share – perfect for catching up with friends or rounding off a day spent exploring the area. Love traditional pubs? In the Victorian interior of The Castle you can enjoy craft beer while listening to live music.
