Our apartments are located on a lovely tree-lined street, yet with the major transport hub that is Victoria Station just a 10 minute walk away and many of London’s most renowned landmarks and attractions in easy reach. Buckingham Palace is around 17 minutes’ walk away, where you can explore the State Rooms on certain dates and see the regular Changing the Guard ceremony. A pleasant 10-minute walk from our apartments will get you to the riverfront, where you can stroll along Millbank with its excellent views of the Thames before you reach the iconic landmarks of Big Ben, Westminster Abbey and the Houses of Parliament. Stop in at the Tate Britain to explore 500 years of British art, from the pre-Raphaelites and JMW Turner to David Hockney and more. Across Westminster Bridge you’ll find the towering London Eye and The London Aquarium. As well as the riverside walking paths, you can enjoy a stroll at St James’s Park, only 15 minutes’ walk away; spot the pelicans as you wander through this Grade I listed royal park - the water birds have been a famous feature here since a Russian ambassador donated them to Charles II in 1664.
The Victoria Place shopping centre, located inside the station, contains a variety of health and beauty, fashion and homeware stores, while Cardinal Place is a covered retail development nearby. Inside you can shop high street brands or take a breather at one of the restaurants, and it also has a roof garden to enjoy on sunny days – there’s seating and Wi-Fi which makes it a lovely spot for an al-fresco lunch. London’s famous Oxford Street can be reached in about 14 minutes from our apartments via the London Underground from Victoria Station – here you’ll find high street heroes alongside premium brands and designers. For boutiques, head to the famous Sloane Square shopping district, just one tube line stop from Victoria Station.
Popular art deco-styled Regency Café is just 2 minutes’ walk from our apartments, making it a great spot for a coffee and breakfast. Opened in 1946, you might recognise this no-frills eatery from films such as Layer Cake, Brighton Rock and Rocketman! For lunch, head to Market Halls Victoria where you’ll be spoiled for choice with a diverse range of food vendors spread across three floors, all housed in a gorgeous Edwardian building. Thai, tacos, Asian cuisine, burgers and so much more are on offer. And if you’re here later in the day on a Thursday or Saturday, you can also enjoy a DJ set while you supper! For dinner, find fine Italian dishes at Santini and cured Spanish flavours at Iberica, both of which offer outside space for a spot of al-fresco dining. Or for something truly special, head to Muse by Tom Aikens (about 20 minutes from our apartments); here you can experience fine dining from the Michelin-starred chef in an intimate and exclusive mews house hosting just 25 covers.
With two West End theatres less than ten minutes’ walk from our apartments, you can kick start your evening with a show. Find the Victoria Palace Theatre directly opposite the front of the station and the Victoria Apollo Theatre, home to longstanding hit musical Wicked, around the side. Darts fans might want to head to trendy Flight Club Victoria to try their hand at the arrows. Or enjoy a beverage at one of the quirky bars scattered around Victoria: the impressive whisky bar at Boisdale brings you the best of the Highlands in the heart of London while Clarendon Cocktail Cellar (secreted beneath Artist Residence London) has a menu of cult movie-inspired cocktails. And for a cosy tucked-away pub with lashings of history, stop in at the Cask and Glass, just around the corner from Buckingham Palace.
